Medical Review Date: August 15, 2026
Vaser Liposuction is an ultrasound-assisted liposuction technique used to remove localized deposits of subcutaneous fat and improve body contour.
VASER is a form of ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL). Ultrasound energy is used to help break down or emulsify fat before it is removed through a cannula. It remains a surgical liposuction procedure and should not be considered a weight-loss treatment.
The appropriate treatment depends on the location and amount of fat, skin quality, general health, weight stability, previous surgery and individual treatment goals.
Clinic Care Center’s current 2026 estimates vary according to the number of areas treated and whether additional procedures are included.

Vaser Liposuction Turkey Cost in 2026
Clinic Care Center’s currently published estimates are:
| Treatment | Estimated 2026 Price |
|---|---|
| Small Area | $1,800–$2,500 |
| 3 Areas | $3,200–$3,800 |
| Vaser 360 | $4,000–$5,500 |
| Vaser 360 + J-Plasma | $5,000–$6,500 |
Important: These figures are estimates rather than guaranteed treatment prices. Final costs may vary according to the number and size of treatment areas, amount of liposuction required, anaesthesia, facility requirements, additional procedures and the individual surgical plan.
Terms such as “one area”, “three areas” and “360 liposuction” should also be clarified before treatment because the exact anatomical areas included can differ between treatment plans.
Who Provides Vaser Liposuction Treatment?
Clinic Care Center is a medical tourism provider that coordinates the treatment process for international patients.
Vaser Liposuction procedures are performed by Op. Dr. Abdolreza Khash, a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon.
The procedure is performed at Beylikdüzü Kolan Hospital in Istanbul.
The patient’s medical assessment, suitability for surgery and individual treatment plan are evaluated by Op. Dr. Abdolreza Khash before the procedure. Final treatment recommendations are based on the patient’s individual medical evaluation.
What Is Vaser Liposuction?
VASER is a form of ultrasound-assisted liposuction.
During ultrasound-assisted liposuction, ultrasonic energy is delivered into the fatty tissue before the fat is removed with suction. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons describes VASER as a newer generation of ultrasound-assisted liposuction.
The procedure is used for body contouring rather than general weight reduction.
It may be used on areas such as:
- Abdomen
- Waist and flanks
- Back
- Upper arms
- Thighs
- Hips
- Chest
- Chin and neck
The areas appropriate for treatment depend on individual anatomy and medical assessment.
Vaser vs. Traditional Liposuction
Traditional suction-assisted liposuction uses a cannula and suction to remove fat.
Vaser adds an ultrasound-assisted stage before suction.
This can alter how the fat is prepared for removal, but patients should be cautious about claims that Vaser automatically provides:
- Less bruising
- Less pain
- Faster recovery
- Better skin tightening
- Smoother results
- Less blood loss
- Better results than every other liposuction technique
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons notes that laser- and ultrasound-assisted liposuction may offer certain advantages in selected cases, but evidence proving superior final results over traditional liposuction remains limited.
The surgeon’s experience, patient selection and treatment plan may be at least as important as the specific liposuction technology being used.
Is Vaser Liposuction a Weight-Loss Procedure?
No.
Liposuction is a body-contouring procedure rather than an overall weight-loss method.
It removes fat from specific areas and should not be considered an alternative to appropriate weight-management treatment.
Patients seeking substantial weight reduction may require a different medical approach.
Who May Be Suitable for Vaser Liposuction?
Vaser Liposuction may be considered for selected adults who:
- Have localized fat deposits
- Have a relatively stable body weight
- Are in good general health
- Have realistic body-contouring goals
- Have suitable skin quality
- Do not smoke or can follow smoking-related instructions
- Understand that liposuction creates contour changes rather than overall weight loss
Skin quality is particularly important.
After fat is removed, the skin must adapt to the changed contour. Patients with substantial loose skin or limited elasticity may still have skin laxity after liposuction.
In those cases, a skin-removal procedure such as a Tummy Tuck or another body-contouring operation may be more appropriate.
Does BMI Determine Whether I Can Have Vaser?
BMI can be one part of surgical risk assessment, but a universal online rule such as “BMI must be under 32” should not determine suitability for every patient.
Assessment may also consider:
- General medical health
- Fat distribution
- Skin quality
- Cardiovascular health
- Blood-clot risk
- Smoking
- Previous surgery
- Anaesthetic risk
- Planned liposuction volume
- Additional procedures
- Mobility
The relationship between BMI, liposuction volume and complication risk is complex, so an individual assessment is more appropriate than a single numerical cut-off.
What Is Vaser 360?
“Vaser 360” generally refers to circumferential liposuction around multiple parts of the torso rather than treatment of one isolated area.
Depending on the individual plan, this may involve parts of the:
- Abdomen
- Waist
- Flanks
- Lower back
- Upper back
However, “360” does not mean that every patient receives exactly the same number or extent of treatment areas.
The exact areas included should be identified in the treatment plan and quotation.
The procedure should also not guarantee a specific “hourglass” or “V-shape”, because final contour depends on the patient’s natural anatomy, fat distribution, muscle structure and skin quality.
How Much Fat Can Be Removed With Vaser Liposuction?
There is no single amount of fat that is appropriate or safe to remove from every patient.
The safe surgical plan depends on factors including:
- Body size and composition
- Medical history
- Treatment areas
- Planned liposuction volume
- Anaesthesia
- Duration of surgery
- Additional procedures
- Facility and postoperative monitoring
Higher-volume liposuction requires additional safety considerations.
The goal should therefore not be to remove the maximum possible amount of fat.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
Liposuction can be used for localized fat deposits in multiple areas of the body.
Abdomen and Waist
Localized fat around the upper and lower abdomen, waist and flanks may be treated when appropriate.
For patients who also have significant loose abdominal skin, liposuction alone may not provide the appropriate correction.
Learn more in our Tummy Tuck Turkey guide.
Arms
Liposuction may be considered when excess fat is the primary concern and skin elasticity is suitable.
Substantial loose upper-arm skin may instead require an Arm Lift.
Thighs
Inner or outer thigh fat may be treated with liposuction in selected patients.
When significant excess thigh skin is present, a Thigh Lift may be more appropriate.
Male Chest
Liposuction may help when male chest enlargement is primarily caused by fatty tissue.
However, true Gynecomastia may contain glandular breast tissue that cannot be removed with liposuction alone.
Abdomen for High-Definition Contouring
Selected patients may consider more detailed abdominal contouring.
Six Pack Surgery / Abdominal Etching uses selective liposuction techniques around existing abdominal muscle anatomy.
It does not create muscle and is not suitable for every patient.
Does Vaser Tighten Loose Skin?
Vaser should not be presented as a guaranteed skin-tightening treatment.
After liposuction, skin may adapt to the reduced volume beneath it. How well it contracts depends partly on:
- Age
- Skin elasticity
- Amount of fat removed
- Degree of existing laxity
- Treatment area
- Individual healing
Patients with good skin elasticity may experience better adaptation after fat removal, while patients with poor elasticity may continue to have loose skin.
Patients with substantial excess skin may therefore need a different treatment.
Vaser Liposuction and J-Plasma
In selected patients, J-Plasma (Renuvion) may be discussed alongside liposuction when tissue laxity is also a concern.
However, the two procedures are different.
Vaser primarily assists with fat removal.
J-Plasma is an energy-based technology used for specific soft-tissue indications.
It should not automatically be added to every liposuction procedure, and it cannot replace surgical removal of substantial loose skin.
Vaser Liposuction and BBL
Liposuction is an important component of a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) because donor fat must first be harvested from selected areas.
The collected fat intended for transfer is then processed according to the surgical technique before being grafted to the buttocks.
BBL involves additional and specific safety considerations beyond standard liposuction, including the fat-injection technique.
A patient suitable for liposuction alone is therefore not automatically suitable for BBL.
Vaser Liposuction and Tummy Tuck
Vaser Liposuction and a Tummy Tuck treat different concerns.
Liposuction primarily removes localized fat.
A tummy tuck removes significant excess abdominal skin and may also address abdominal wall laxity when clinically appropriate.
Selected patients may have both procedures as part of the same surgical plan.
However, combination surgery should be determined according to overall health, operating time, anaesthesia and recovery requirements.
Possible Risks and Complications
Vaser Liposuction is surgery and carries potential risks.
Possible complications can include:
- Anaesthesia-related risks
- Bruising
- Swelling
- Bleeding
- Infection
- Fluid accumulation or seroma
- Persistent changes in skin sensation
- Contour irregularity
- Asymmetry
- Pigmentation changes
- Poor wound healing
- Loose or rippled skin
- Deep vein thrombosis
- Cardiac or pulmonary complications
- Injury to deeper structures
- Energy-related skin injury or burns
- Need for revision surgery
Risk varies according to the patient, treatment area, surgical volume, technique and whether additional procedures are performed.
Contour Irregularities After Liposuction
Liposuction does not guarantee a completely smooth or symmetrical contour.
Possible postoperative changes include:
- Uneven contour
- Asymmetry
- Small depressions
- Firm areas
- Temporary swelling differences
- Loose skin
- Rippling
Some irregularities may improve as swelling settles and tissues heal.
Persistent contour concerns may require further assessment and, in selected cases, revision treatment.
Seroma After Vaser Liposuction
A seroma is a collection of fluid beneath the skin and is a recognized potential complication following liposuction.
Not every patient develops a seroma.
Treatment depends on the size, location, symptoms and clinical assessment.
Patients who notice increasing swelling, unusual fluid accumulation or other concerning postoperative changes should contact their medical team.
Are Lymphatic Drainage Massages Necessary After Vaser?
Postoperative massage or manual lymphatic drainage may be recommended by some surgeons following liposuction.
However, it should not be presented as universally essential for every patient or as a guaranteed method of preventing seroma or fibrosis.
Whether massage is appropriate, when it should begin and how frequently it should be performed should depend on:
- Surgical technique
- Extent of treatment
- Swelling
- Wound condition
- Individual healing
- Treating surgeon’s postoperative protocol
Patients should not undergo forceful massage over recently operated areas without appropriate medical guidance.
Compression Garments After Vaser Liposuction
Compression garments may be recommended after liposuction to help manage swelling and support the treated areas during early healing.
The garment type and duration of use vary according to the patient and procedure.
Patients should follow their own surgeon’s instructions rather than assuming that one standard garment schedule applies to everyone.
Vaser Liposuction Recovery
Recovery depends on:
- Number of areas treated
- Amount of fat removed
- Type of anaesthesia
- Additional procedures
- General health
- Individual healing
During early recovery, patients may experience:
- Swelling
- Bruising
- Soreness
- Tightness
- Temporary numbness
- Fluid leakage from small incisions
- Reduced activity tolerance
Activity is usually restricted initially and progressively increased as healing continues.
The timeline should therefore not be guaranteed as identical for every patient.
When Can I Return to Work?
Return to work depends on both the extent of treatment and the patient’s occupation.
People with desk-based work may be able to return sooner than those whose work involves:
- Heavy lifting
- Manual labour
- Long periods of standing
- Intense physical activity
Several treated areas or combination surgery may also require a longer recovery.
The treating surgeon should provide individualized advice.
When Can I Exercise After Vaser Liposuction?
Light walking may be encouraged during early recovery according to the medical team’s instructions.
Strenuous exercise usually requires a longer restriction period.
Patients should gradually resume:
- Running
- Weight training
- Abdominal exercise
- High-impact activity
- Heavy lifting
only after appropriate medical clearance.
How Long Should I Stay in Istanbul?
There should not be a universal rule requiring every Vaser patient to stay in Istanbul for exactly five to seven days.
The appropriate length of stay depends on:
- Number of areas treated
- Surgical volume
- Anaesthesia
- Early recovery
- Wound condition
- Additional procedures
- Medical history
- Mobility
- Flight duration
- Postoperative assessment
The planned stay should be confirmed as part of the individual treatment plan.
When Can I Fly After Vaser Liposuction?
A fixed “fit-to-fly” date should not be guaranteed before surgery.
Readiness for air travel can depend on:
- Mobility
- Swelling
- Pain control
- Wound condition
- Blood-clot risk
- Extent of surgery
- Additional procedures
- Length of the flight
Because deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary complications are recognized surgical risks, postoperative travel planning should be discussed with the treating medical team.
Are Vaser Liposuction Results Permanent?
Fat cells removed from treated areas do not simply return in the same number.
However, remaining fat cells can enlarge if the patient gains weight.
Ageing, pregnancy, changes in weight and changes in skin elasticity can also alter body contour over time.
Maintaining a relatively stable weight may help preserve the contour achieved after surgery.
For this reason, results should not be described as permanently guaranteed regardless of future weight changes.
What Affects Vaser Liposuction Cost in Turkey?
The final price may vary according to:
- Number of areas treated
- Size of each treatment area
- Amount of liposuction required
- Vaser 360 treatment
- Anaesthesia requirements
- Surgeon and facility fees
- Hospital stay when required
- Preoperative tests
- Compression garments
- Postoperative care
- Additional procedures such as J-Plasma
- Accommodation and transfers when included
A higher BMI should not automatically trigger a standardized “plus-size surcharge” without an individualized treatment plan explaining why the price differs.
The quotation should clearly state what procedure and services are included.
What May Be Included in a Vaser Liposuction Package?
Depending on the individual treatment plan, a package may include some or all of the following:
- Surgeon and medical team fees
- Vaser Liposuction procedure
- Hospital or surgical facility fees
- Anaesthesia
- Preoperative tests
- Hospital stay when required
- Compression garment
- Prescribed postoperative medication
- Follow-up appointments
- Postoperative treatments when specifically recommended
- Accommodation
- Airport transfers
- Transfers between accommodation and the treatment facility
- Patient coordination services
The exact inclusions should be confirmed in writing before treatment.
Terms such as “all-inclusive” should not be assumed to mean that every possible medical, postoperative or travel-related expense is covered.
Frequently Asked Questions About Vaser Liposuction
How much does Vaser Liposuction cost in Turkey in 2026?
Clinic Care Center’s current published estimates range from approximately $1,800–$2,500 for a selected small area to approximately $4,000–$5,500 for Vaser 360.
Vaser 360 combined with J-Plasma is currently estimated at approximately $5,000–$6,500.
A final quotation requires an individual assessment.
Is Vaser better than traditional liposuction?
Not necessarily for every patient.
VASER uses ultrasound energy as part of the fat-removal process, while traditional liposuction uses different mechanical techniques.
Ultrasound-assisted procedures may offer advantages in selected circumstances, but they should not automatically be described as providing better final results in every patient.
Does Vaser Liposuction tighten skin?
Some skin contraction may occur as tissues adapt after fat removal, particularly when skin elasticity is good.
However, significant skin tightening should not be guaranteed.
Patients with substantial loose skin may require another procedure.
Is Vaser Liposuction good for weight loss?
No.
Vaser is a body-contouring procedure for localized fat rather than a treatment for obesity or general weight reduction.
What is Vaser 360?
Vaser 360 generally refers to treatment of several areas around the circumference of the torso, such as the abdomen, waist, flanks and back.
The exact areas included should be confirmed before treatment.
Is there a maximum amount of fat that can be removed?
There is no single safe volume appropriate for every patient.
Higher-volume liposuction requires additional consideration, and the appropriate amount depends on body size, medical health, treatment areas, other procedures and surgical setting.
Are lymphatic massages mandatory?
No universal protocol makes lymphatic massage mandatory for every Vaser patient.
It may be recommended according to the surgeon’s postoperative protocol and the individual’s condition.
Do I need to wear a compression garment?
A compression garment is commonly recommended after liposuction, but garment type and duration should be individualized.
Can Vaser be combined with J-Plasma?
Yes, the procedures may be combined in selected patients when medically appropriate.
However, J-Plasma should not automatically be added to every Vaser procedure.
Can Vaser be used for BBL?
Liposuction may be used to harvest donor fat as part of a Brazilian Butt Lift.
The complete BBL procedure has additional fat-transfer safety considerations and requires separate assessment.
Can Vaser treat gynecomastia?
Vaser may help remove fatty chest tissue in selected patients.
However, true Gynecomastia may also involve glandular tissue requiring surgical excision.
Can Vaser create a six pack?
High-definition liposuction techniques can selectively contour fat around existing abdominal muscle anatomy.
They cannot build muscle.
